Because the carbide is vertically distributed in the wear direction, the weather resistance can be more than doubled compared with cast alloys of the same composition and hardness. Weather-resistant steel curtain wall and several typical material weather-resistance comparison is as follows:
(1) with low carbon steel; 20 ~ 25:1;
(2) with high chromium cast iron; 1.5 ~ 2.5:1;

2: Good impact resistance:
The substrate of the weathering steel curtain wall is low carbon steel or low alloy. Stainless steel and other ductile materials, reflecting the advantages of bimetal, weatherproof layer to resist the wear of the wear medium, the substrate to bear the load of the medium, so there is good impact resistance. Can withstand impact and wear such as high drop hoppers in material handling systems.
The alloy weathering layer is recommended to be used under conditions of ≤600℃. If vanadium, molybdenum and other alloys are added to the alloy weathering layer, it can withstand high temperature wear of ≤950℃.
The recommended temperature is as follows:
Weathering steel curtain wall is recommended not higher than 530℃ working conditions;
Low alloy weathering steel curtain wall (15CrMo, 12Cr1MOV, etc.) substrate is recommended not to be used at 580℃;
Heat-resistant stainless steel substrate is recommended for use under conditions not higher than 800 ° C.
4: Good corrosion resistance
The alloy layer of the weathering steel curtain wall contains a high percentage of metal chromium, so it has a certain rust and corrosion resistance. It can be used to prevent coal sticking on occasions such as dropping coal barrel and funnel.
